CrossFit MHF

Mission Statement:

It is our desire to help you reclaim your inner athlete.

We believe that no matter your age or fitness level, we are ALL athletes; we are designed to move as such.

What is CrossFit?

  • Constantly Varied
  • Functional Movements
  • Performed at High Intensity

The ability to move large loads, long distances, quickly.

Our program delivers fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.

Why CrossFit?

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. Our clients are diverse, they range from military personnel, skiers, housewives, mountain bike riders, athletes of all levels - each have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

World-Class Fitness in 100 words:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar.

  • Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

Practice and train major lifts:

  • Deadlift, Clean, Squat, Presses, Clean & Jerk, Snatch.

Similarly master the basics of gymnastics:

  • Pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-up, sit-up, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds.
  • Bike, run, row, etc. Hard & fast.

Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow.

  • Routine is the enemy.
  • Keep workouts short and intense
  • Regularly learn and play new sports.

Strength Training:

Strength Training allows for the ability to carry out daily tasks without distress, such as carrying your groceries, picking up your kids or grandkids, lifting and/or moving boxes or furniture. In order to keep up these activities it is essential to strength train.

Strength training, a key component of CrossFit, is a crucial element to fitness. Lack of strength is one of the main reasons that people in their later years lose their independence.

We are all athletes.

Our strength training program reflects that belief.

You will not find machines in our facility. You ARE an athlete.

You ARE the machine!
