CrossFit MHF Coach Rachel

I have been an athlete all my life. I grew up riding bikes, climbing trees and tumbling around the back yard with my sisters. I played competitive softball for 9 years, and was introduced to weight training at 14 by my dad, and have been hooked ever since.

I was so intrigued by health and fitness that in 2004 I received my B.A. in Exercise Physiology. In response to my love for being in the gym and challenging myself physically, I began training for my first fitness competition in 2005. I competed in fitness competitions for the next 5 years, and hold the NPC Rocky Mountain Fitness Title, NPC Colorado State Fitness Title, and took 2nd at the North Americans in 2010.

In 2009 I was introduced to CrossFit, and was immediately hooked, due to the fact that I realized that this type of training would get me in better shape to perform my fitness routine. The more I did it, the more I fell in love with it, and eventually abandoned the “typical” globo gym training.

I love the challenge that CrossFit brings, and I love that no matter your fitness level, ANYONE can do it! If you are bored with your normal gym routine, I challenge you to try CrossFit, it is like nothing you have ever done before!
